At Everyday Makai, we love white. We love white because it stays cool on long hot days, it looks sleek and clean and makes us feel fresh. But, we realize that white is not for everyone... Some of us have KIDS after all.
That’s why we’re calling today, “BLACK FRIDAY.” It’s not the kind of Black Friday where people push each other to get into Walmart. No. It’s Black Friday because today is the day we drop the new color for the Coolio and it's all BLACK, baby!
As you know, we’ve only got a few days left on our Kickstarter campaign, and to cover the cost of making another order of Coolios in black, we've set a stretch goal of $15,000. That means to get black, we need to get to $15k.
Once we hit $15,000, everyone who has backed our campaign will be able to choose their Coolios in WHITE or BLACK or both on their campaign surveys which will be sent out when the campaign ends.
So, if you want to own the Coolio in the OG paradise BLACK, share our campaign with as many people as you can and get them to pledge so we can move closer to $15k. Once we hit $15,000, the ALL-BLACK Coolio is yours!

I started Everyday Makai and the research for the Coolio in May 2020. At first, the idea for the Coolio was born from surf travel. My family and I always needed a lightweight cooler to stock with local provisions on our surf trips. But when the pandemic hit and the planes were grounded indefinitely, our slogan, "Make Everyday Count," took on a new meaning.
I spent lockdown in Australia, splitting my time between working on the Coolio, homeschooling my kids, and going on micro-adventures to local parks, beaches, and hikes for our hour of exercise. I realized that I didn't just need the Coolio for travel, I needed it for everyday adventures.
I started talking to customers in December 2020. Between December and April, I spoke to over 162 people and received surveys from another 1,237 people about how your COVID experiences, how you like to adventure, what you like to eat and drink, and what you are doing to combat single-use plastics. I also heard the good, the bad, and the plain ugly when it came to coolers. I listened to our community's feedback. By asking questions related to the design and use of the Coolio, I gained a better understanding of what exactly our community wants, enabling me to make the Coolio far better.
Just 7 Days to go and we are already beyond stoked that we are 200% funded. We really appreciate your pledges and want you to know that your pre-order will help Everyday Makai grow into your favorite everyday adventure company.
